Transfer Operators and Modular Forms -- lecture 2

This is the second lecture of the course "Transfer Operators and Modular Forms". In this lecture, we discuss the asymptotic behavior of the modified Bessel functions and the Fourier series of periodic (in $x$-variable) eigenfunctions of the Laplace operator. Additionally, we study the Dirichlet problem on a hyperbolic plane and begin the topic of hyperfunctions.
