Turning sewage sludge into plant fertiliser – a knowledge transfer project at the University of Freiburg

A knowledge transfer project at the University of Freiburg shows how phosphate can be extracted from wastewater and processed into fertiliser. The process developed makes the conversion technically and practically possible. Sewage treatment plants are provided with a solution to comply with the legal recovery obligation from 2029 at an early stage.
